Lou Silver is one part of the Tender Trap ownership trinity. He’s the kind-hearted mustache’d man working his ass off behind the bar every night. Unfortunately, Lou suffered a heart attack on Sunday afternoon and is currently in critical condition at Beth Israel. His family asks that you keep his well-being in mind.
If you don’t know Lou, allow me to tell you a little about him: Lou is the spine of the Trap. Not only is he a hard worker, but he is one of the kindest men I have ever met. He also looks a lot like Inigo Montoyo from Princess Bride.
When I’m down and out, he offers his wisdom and at one of my lower points he told me this, “When you give positive energy, the world takes care of you.” So, I know that with all of the goodness Lou has given me, Tender Trap and it’s patrons and anyone he encounters that the universe will get him better soon.
Tonight at Stuyvesant Park in Manhattan (16th Street and 2nd Ave), Lou’s daughter, Fiona, asks that anyone who can come to gather and just send their love meet at 8:30 pm on the east side of the park.
