The NYPD has located a 5-story marijuana grow-op on a residential block in the Bronx. That’s right, bad fucking news for all you potheads out there. I know my heart sank when I heard that. Even though I’m still straight (my homie gets shit shipped in from Cali).
The nug factory was at 610 Morris Park Avenue, in the Van Nest neighborhood has been estimated to have contained 800 plants, but the most exact figure I have seen is 593.
The search warrant was executed Tuesday afternoon and apparently, each floor of the building was used for a different stage of growth for the plants. It had been rigged with a real serious ventilation and hydration system.
The pigs found and recovered 75 pounds of danks that had been cut, dried and packaged. The total amount pulled from the house was close to a fucking ton, 1550 pounds. What could close to 600 plants and almost a ton of weed seized by the cops mean for the NY weed market?
Honestly, probably not much, (that dirty Bronx weed gets shipped over to Newark) we’ve got dank bud here. Wait, delivery service is definitely gonna be pretty beat for a while. Hahaha, sorry.
Anyway,
Brian Munox, 24; Diego Reyes 25; and Victor Reyes, 23 all from the Bronx were charged with everything. Thank god that cops are too lazy to do work most of the time. These dudes just were some fucking jerks willing to tend to the factory. The dudes who owned the building and had all the money for that shit are obviously still out there (hopefully plotting to start another 5-story grow).
A small crowd apparently gathered during the bust.
Dwayne Dent, 49, who has lived in the neighborhood for over 20 years had this to say: “This is New York City, should I be surprised? It’s kind of genius.”
When the people in the neighborhood support a 5-story bud factory, just leave it alone.
