Gordon Douglas Ball is one of those photographers you see being featured all over the internet, and in my opinion he is doing some of the more interesting work. His series of female nudes hanging in mid-air with various colors has a really nice commercial appeal. (Same with the girl leaning her head out of the bus window.) His work is definitely worth a look for a photographer trying to get inspired.
Here’s some info on him from his site:
“To some extent I realized that the journey toward making a work of art was as important as the work of art itself. So in the later part of 2010 I moved from Montreal to New York City, and suddenly my comfort zone disappeared and I ended up re-evaluating my art. I was left with the themes of romance, chaos, alienation and mainly reestablishing a sense of identity, which have always influenced my work.”
