Brooklyn Shelf Life: New Sculptural News Boxes Around BAM

Tonight is the opening gallery for “Brooklyn Shelf Life” an installation taking place around BAM on Lafayette Avenue and Ashland Place in Brooklyn. The installations are sculpture-like news boxes that will rotate 48 independently printed New York publications, including Showpaper. The show was curated by Andrew H. Shirley, with art produced by Adam Void & Gaia, Cassius Fouler & Faust, Leon Reid IV & Noah Sparkes, Ryan C. Doyle & Swoon, and UFO 907 & William Thomas Porter. The show is up from June 2012 until May 2013, so you’ve got a while to check it out.

The opening reception is happening right now.
